Dream XIII

My family and I were in a large game emporium, which had many noisy, crowded rooms with people trying the latest video games, virtual reality games, and other types of equipment. Most of the games seemed to be based either on The Lord of the Rings, or on Lego bricks. There were some other games having to do with swordplay which had nothing to do with Tolkein.

There was a mock filling station in the center of the emporium. You had to descend a few steps to get to it, but it was a perfect replica of a 1950's gas pump.

I went down to look at it, and was surprised to see that there was an LCD screen on the gas pump, and on that screen was an e-mail from an ex-girlfriend. As soon as I saw it, it vanished on the screen, but printed out below.

We had not parted under the best of circumstances, so I was uncertain how to respond, or even if I should respond. In the end, I did, in a very neutral manner. The gas pump then printed out a copy of my response.

It occurred to me much later that the ex-girlfriend was, in fact, dead. I wondered if this was someone impersonating her in order to gather information against me. I went back to the gas pump, but my findings there were inconclusive.
