Dream CCIV

Pi Piers Brennan was a member of an itinerant performance group.  The group performed a play called "No Bruising!" in which the cast members verbally abused each other. The play was usually well attended wherever they performed it, though audiences were confused about how real all the insults were.

Brennan found a small woman and married her, and they lived in various dingy rented rooms.  The walls, ceiling and floor were always made of wood.

Their only furniture was a large bed, which was very comfortable.

The landlady was also a member of the troupe; her feet were wedged into a large tree pot, which contained a small tree. She could only move by hopping from place to place, but this didn't dampen her generally sunny attitude.

It was a quiet, small life for them, but they were happy.
