Dream C

My friend Tom and I had been drinking heavily at the local craft fair. We were making fun of the various carved items. He said with a wink that we ought to go to the store and I protested that we were drunk. He said that was the idea, that we should get more liquor.

I was sitting in the back of the car, he was driving, and in front of him near the dash were some teenage girls. I pointed to something in the sky and asked, "Hey, what's that?"

Tom thought I was referring to some acne on the back of one of the girl's necks. He was embarrassed and didn't want to embarrass her, so he said things like, "I'm not sure I can see what you mean!" and "It's barely noticeable!" and "I'm sure it's nothing!" all in a very loud voice.
