Dream CXLVII

I was going to take a brief walk from the family house, when my older brother ran up to me with my male cat and said, "Here, take him too!"

I shouted that I had just spent a lot of time getting him inside and didn't want him out, when the female cat walked out of the door as well while I was still holding the male.  I yelled at my brother and slammed the door, letting both cats go.  The cats dashed off, but then quickly came back and stayed near me.

I was very upset, and wandered around the yard for some time.  The house was located on the top of a somewhat steep hill, and the yard was covered in bushes and small trees, with large trees overhead blocking much of the light.  Bits of branches and twigs got in my hair and into my shoes.  I just then noticed that my shoes didn't match; one was a black shoe, the other was a bright red tennis shoe.

I walked down the hill, and decided to look in on my favorite show, which was being produced in a studio not far away.

The cast had dressed their set to look exactly like an old classic sitcom, with a factory conveyor belt delivering the credits written on crates.  Two strange-looking mustachioed men stood nearby, muttering unintelligibly as the boxes moved along the belt.  The men had thick, bushy eyebrows that hid their eyes, and wore soft caps and striped aprons.  Their hands were hidden in the apron pockets.

On the other side of the studio, there was a large television set showing an animated version of the opening credits, with boxes falling off the conveyor belt, followed by small reproductions of the entire set falling off.  Finally, a strange yellow snake-like creature wearing a fireman's hat rose from the floor up in the air, finally poking his head through a trap door on the second floor that had stage directions written on it.  All the while, he was screaming "NOOOO...CHEEEEEESE!"
