Dream CLXIV

I decided to get onto the highway that traveled to the top of a mountain to take some scenic photos.  I got onto the highway behind two motorcycles, one driven by a man with a leather jacket and a large hat, the other driven by a policewoman.

The policewoman asked me for help looking for some lost people, but she was not specific enough for me to be useful.  Nevertheless I did what I could.  When we finally got to the top of the mountain, all three of us boarded a train scheduled to go back down the mountain.

Here I learned that the man was on a trip with his father and his brother, and his brother had been lost in a recent flood.  (Incidentally he added that all three of them were gay.)

I told them I hadn't seen anything of note, and the man left the train and went back down the mountain.  The policewoman told me to follow her, and we went into one of the train cars that was a stateroom.  She wanted to show me something, and with difficulty moved a small bookcase out of the way.  I thought I recognized the case as one I had given away years ago.

She showed me some pine cones and said that these indicated the level of flooding.  I had nothing to say about that, so I left the train.

I had started going back down the mountain when I realized I hadn't taken any pictures.  So I parked where I was and walked back up to where the highway bent in a hair-pin curve from ascending to descending.

I passed through the train on the way up, and saw the policewoman with a young woman.  The young woman turned out to be the missing man's sister.  I asked if they had made any progress, and the policewoman smiled and said, "You go by 'Brian,' right?"

I took this to mean that I was not needed, so I left.  Behind me, the young woman said, "I'm ready to begin."  As it turned out, she wanted to post messages asking for information, but wanted to do so in the form of a song.
