Dream CXXXVIII

I was in a small white room, listening to a man talk about his problems.  I was only half-listening, though, because I saw a small spider crawl into the room under the door.

It settled into a small ball, and seemed to expand.  The man was still droning on in the background, but I was no longer listening to him.

The spider stretched out to its full height, and I could see it only had three legs.  It walked over to the wall, and its body began to expand again.  It crawled up the wall and settled into a hole cut into the wall for a utility box.  It began to extrude a small white globule, which it lowered on a web strand.

I knew that this was actually a robot, and its purpose was some kind of industrial sabotage.  I tried to take pictures of the spider, but all I had was my phone.  The phone had recently updated itself, and as much as I tried to activate the camera, it never took any pictures.

I looked closely at my phone.  It looked as if there was a different spider under the glass face.  At first I thought this might be a picture of the spider, but a close look showed that they looked nothing alike.

It looked as if the spider was actually inside my phone.  It made me hesitate to put it in my pocket.
