Dream CLXXXIII

I arrived at the office one morning, and noticed immediately that something was amiss...

My coworkers (which included YouTube's IHE) and I were surprised to see that our furniture--work-desks with overhead drawers--were no longer in our room.  Instead, the gray carpet of the room was all that remained, except that many of the personal belongings we'd brought in to "customize" our workspace were strewn on the floor, seemingly at random.

I noticed several pairs of jeans, and went looking through them for my own pants until I realized I was still wearing them.

We found that our furniture had been moved to a corner office in the same building, just down the hall--four cubicle desks joined together at the axis.  They had been moved without detaching them, which I thought was impossible,  We were able to determine whose desk was whose by the objects and knicknacks in the overhead shelves.  Mine had a small synthesizer as well as some action figurines.

Other objects were scattered against the walls in the new space.  One colleague picked up an old violin I had brought in and started playing simple tunes.  I should probably bring that home, I thought.

The others decided to go down the hall to see what else had changed.  My thought was that we should clean up a little, so I started grabbing trash paper and stuffing it into a cardboard box for disposal.

One colleague's sister was helping to clean up; specifically, she was cleaning up milk stains that babies had vomited on the floor.  She had a huge, wrinkled body, with no head and no visible features, but she was doing a good (if slow) job cleaning the area.

I decided to help her out, so I grabbed a wet rag and started cleaning up some of the milk stains.  Some had hardened and required scrubbing; I hoped I wouldn't be given this job permanently.  It was still morning when I looked at the clock.
