Dream CLXVII

I'd just been hired by Red Letter Media, and I was in their screening room looking at some of their upcoming work.  One of the guys asked me to go get them some drinks, so I left the theatre--and outside the theatre door, I found myself suddenly right into what appeared to be a destroyed city block.

Buildings were broken.  Huge slabs of asphalt from the street were warped into low hills, and there seemed to be garbage strewn everywhere.  I noticed two strange beings lying hidden against one of the asphalt walls.  They wore dark cloaks and masks, with grey dust against their faces.  I looked at them for a moment out of the corner of my eye, afraid to stare; they made no indication they saw me at all.

I wandered around the ruined neighborhood for a while, and then I noticed that the area I was walking in was very small.  I couldn't seem to get beyond a certain area; the scenery seemed to be warping to keep me from going too far.  While the scenery changed, I realized I was walking in a very tight circle, almost like a revolving stage...

Just then, the Red Letter Media guys appeared and said it was all just an elaborate hoax.  We all laughed about it and went back into the screening room.  I mentioned that, of course, I hadn't gotten any of the drinks they wanted, but they shrugged it off and said someone else had already gotten them.
