Dream CCXXII
My brothers and I were relaxing in the living room. I noticed a very fat dachshund-like dog wanting to come in from the staircase, so I let it. It came over to be petted. I noticed three other dogs, two pointer or setter like hounds and a large dog like a Great Dane.
I said that I didn't know they had dogs, and I asked for their names. My brothers said they were a surprise because they knew I liked dogs. They gave me the names which I immediately forgot. I had a new black kitten, and she wanted to play with the dogs. I kept telling them to be careful with her.
Later, I decided to take my usual weekend walk to Gatlinburg. I usually did this in the morning, but I figured I had a few hours of daylight left so it would be okay.
But once down the mountain, it was clear that there was a lot of traffic, and I should probably head back. I stopped at a small picnic area to rest. I drank the rest of my root beer, crushed the plastic bottle and put it in my pocket. I then had a short nap.
I was awakened by a man I recognized as an athlete who had made a few movies, though I couldn't remember his name. He said to be sure to throw away my trash, and pointed to a few cans and bottles on a concrete wall. I mentioned that none of them were mine, but I duly picked up the ones nearest to me and threw them away.
I felt turned around, so I asked him which way along the highway I should go to get back home, and he couldn't tell me. He took me down to where he had a modest home on a suburban street, but I didn't recognize the area. I saw that there was a convenience store nearby and went inside, hoping to see a map. The store was brightly lit but no one was there. I could see no maps of the area.
