Dream CCXXIII
I was sleeping soundly on a large bed, somewhat entangled in blankets and bedclothes. Suddenly there was a loud voice from the apartment door, “Greetings!” and the sound of someone rapidly approaching me.
I tried to move, to turn to see who was coming toward me, but the blankets restricted me and I found my voice was numb; I could do nothing other than moan, and I hoped my tone indicated that the stranger should stay away.
She didn’t, however, and rolled me over onto my stomach. I started to feel small pinpricks on my back, and thought she was injecting me with some unknown substance.
Again, I shook, trying to indicate my distress, but she continued. At last, I gathered my strength and was able to throw her off. I reached around quickly and grabbed what she had in her hand.
It was a small plastic cone with a ridge bisecting the diameter. It seemed to contain nothing.
